Due to the 23rd anniversary of the Düzce Earthquake, Manisa Private Grandmedical Hospital employees participated in the Earthquake Moment Country Exercise held across Turkey at 18.57, the time of the earthquake. Hospital administrators, staff and patients made 'collapse, trap, hold' movements in the safe and sound area at the moment of the earthquake.
Within the scope of the exercise, which was implemented for the first time in the whole world under the coordination of AFAD, a "Vital Warning Notification" sent to the mobile phones of all citizens at 18.57, a sound warning was made in Turkish and English. Managers, staff and patients who were in the hospital at the time of the exercise also quickly moved to safe places, as should be done in the event of an earthquake, and performed the 'collapse, trap, hold' movements. Hospital Chief Physician Op. Dr. Mümtaz Kahya said that they periodically conduct earthquake and fire drills as a hospital and that the hospital staff are trained on what to do in such disasters. The steward stated that they showed their sensitivity about earthquakes by participating in the exercise held throughout the country.
