Manisa Private Grandmedical Hospital organized a seminar on early diagnosis of breast cancer for female farmers within the scope of March 8 International Women's Day events. Hospital Chief Physician Op. Dr. Mümtaz Kahya gave information about breast cancer symptoms and diagnosis methods.
Within the scope of social responsibility projects, Manisa Private Grandmedical Hospital held an early diagnosis seminar in Manisa Halıtlı village on the occasion of March 8, International Working Women's Day. At the seminar organized by the Aegean Exporters' Association, Hospital Chief Physician Op. Dr. Mümtaz Kahya explained the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer. Stating that the sooner the diagnosis is made, the easier the treatment, Kahya said, “Early diagnosis is very important in breast cancer. The earlier the disease is diagnosed, the sooner treatment can be started and the disease can be cured without chemotherapy. Therefore, do not forget to have your cancer screening every year,” he said.
THE DANGER DECREASES WITH AGE.
Saying that genetics also has an important place in the development of breast cancer, Kahya said, "If you have a genetic carrier due to your family, you will 100% get this disease at some point in your life." Stating that the possibility of the disease being fatal depends on age, Kahya said that the disease is less common in women under the age of 50, but is more fatal, and that it is more common in women over the age of 50, but its lethality is lower.
